Freshview Foods raised £1,772 for Cash for Kids Day on Thursday 27th April

The cost-of-living crisis is impacting everyone, and more and more families who were just barely managing are now pushed into poverty. They can’t afford the essentials like heating their home and providing food for their children. On Thursday 27th April, it was Cash for Kids Day, the team at Freshview Foods came together to do what they could to make a difference and reach out to more families than ever.

We sold delicious Bacon and Sausage Baps and a Selection of Cakes for a small donation to this worthwhile charity. The Care & Share team were in the development kitchen from 9am on the day so Freshview staff could pop up to get breakfast and/or lunch. Signal 1 also paid us a visit!

We sold raffle tickets on the day to support the cause with our winners receiving some amazing prizes:

First Prize – £100 B&P Gift Voucher won by Kate Dobson
Second Prize – An extra day’s holiday won by Dan Stretton
Third Prize – A family day out at Trentham Monkey Forest won by Amanda Porter
Fourth Prize – A fabulous Chocolate Cake baked by our very own star baker Aimee Buckton! – John Houghton

The winner for the best dressed pop/rock start went to Nikki Dwine!

It was a great success and Signal Radio were really impressed, special thanks go to Simon for doing a great job with the catering, Nikki for helping to organise, Aimee for baking the most amazing cake and finally Dan Stretton for his impromptu Bryan Adams number!

We raised a total of £886.00, Freshview Foods have kindly said that they will match this. So the total raised for Cash for Kids Day is a fantastic £1,772!!
