Meet the team – Craig Walton, Managing Director

What do you enjoy most about working at Freshview?
That every day is different. Considering we follow the same processes each and every day, there is always a new challenge to overcome. What I love about Freshview is there is never a shortage of good people to help tackle and resolve these challenges as they arise. It’s especially rewarding to see that due to our collective efforts during the most challenging of days (and we’ve had a few over the last couple of years) we can still deliver service excellence to our customers.

If you could swap jobs with anyone at Freshview for a month, who would it be and why?
I’m going to cheat here and expect to have the skills too. I’d swap places with Matt Capper, our talented Account Manager and Development Chef. Matt has very kindly prepared food for the staff here at Freshview on a few occasions and had the opportunity to meet so many of you. Also having his incredible chef skills would be a real treat, if only for a month. As an account manager, he sees customers on a daily basis. Prospect ones to discuss how amazing Freshview are to try and entice them to become new customers, meeting with existing customers to strengthen relationships and sometimes a little bit of firefighting. Having done a little of this in my previous employment I know how incredible hard it is but also how rewarding it can be.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Spending time with family & friends, relaxing with good food and a glass of something and playing golf. Preferable all three together in the sunshine somewhere.

What fruit or vegetable best describes you and why?
I asked my 5-year-old daughter what fruit or vegetable best described me: “Squash as you’re big or Cauliflower because you’re clever”. Apparently its from The Stinky Sprout book.

Tell us something we don’t know about you.
I once attended a wedding in Las Vegas. My friend and I, who I was travelling with, helped encourage an English chap and Aussie girl to get married so we could go to the famous Las Vegas Chapel. We had only known them for a couple of days having gone on a couple of excursions and shared a few drinks. Several days later, on the day we returned home from our 12 month trip working and travelling abroad, our ‘wedding’ photo and a news article had made page 3 of the Daily Express.
