Our commitment to a greener future

At Freshview Foods, sustainability isn’t just a goal — it’s embedded in everything we do. Our commitment to reducing our environmental impact is an extension of our core values: to act responsibly, work collaboratively, and always strive to do the right thing.

To help us achieve this, we’ve partnered with ClimateEQ, specialist carbon reduction consultants, to carry out a detailed assessment of our carbon footprint. This includes a full review of our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, and supports our long-term vision of reaching Net Zero by 2040.

This work forms part of our broader commitment to safeguarding the environment. We’re proud to introduce a comprehensive carbon reduction report that lays out a clear pathway for reducing emissions across every part of our business. The report includes:

  • Practical, actionable steps we’ll take to reduce our carbon output

  • A roadmap for working closely with our suppliers and customers to gather data and share best practices

  • A plan to introduce smart, integrated software tools that support real-time monitoring and continuous improvement

  • The use of bespoke data tools tailored to the unique needs of our business

As part of this initiative, funding secured through the Advanced and Digital Technologies Innovation Accelerator (ADTIA), via Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, has enabled us to appoint a Staffordshire University student to independently audit the energy use across our site. This audit will identify the most cost-effective renewable energy solutions to help reduce emissions at source.

We recognise that achieving our sustainability goals is a shared effort. Every team member, customer, and supplier has a role to play — and we’re committed to supporting that journey at every step.
